5+ Years’ Experience Mid-Level Landscape Architect/Designer

Location: Orlando, FL (with flexibility on relocation timing)

Coyle & Caron is looking for applicants with strong design, technical and management skills who are passionate about working in the public realm. At our studio, your work truly makes a difference. We partner with public-sector and nonprofit clients devoted to environmental restoration, species conservation, climate resilience, education, and social equity.

We support and mentor our 6 person team, and we offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including PTO, health insurance, retirement contributions, and professional development. $75,000-$90,000.

Key Responsibilities

  • In person collaboration with teams and firm leadership through all phases of design and CA.

  • Actively teach and mentor emerging designers.

  • Advance and curate the studio’s graphic standards and technical specifications.

  • Write and review draft reports and proposals.

  • Plan, schedule, and develop task and project budgets.

  • Manage project teams, clients, and subconsultants, including contracts.

  • Coordinate and participate in presentations to internal and external groups.

  • Develop community engagement strategies and materials and analyze/synthesize feedback.

  • Travel in state and nationally with teams to project sites.

  • Contribute to marketing pursuits.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors or masters degree in Landscape Architecture.

  • 6+ years of experience in landscape architectural built work including construction documentation and administration.

  • Fluency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino or other 3D modeling tools and rendering software; Skills in Revit a plus.

  • Ability to manage interdisciplinary teams and client relationships toward strong design, technical and implementable results.

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Willingness to take initiative and offer new ideas.

  • Professional licensure or on a path toward.

  • Authorized to work in the US through citizenship, or long-term work visa such as permanent resident card.

  • This position is not for recent graduates seeking work under OPT.
